The Ocean gave us Life
It’s time to give back
Every second breath you take comes from the ocean.
Not the forests. Not the mountains. The ocean.
Yet, the true lungs of our Earth are choking. Acidifying. Losing their ability to regulate the climate and sustain biodiversity. If we can improve the ocean’s sequestration capacity by just 1%, it would absorb the equivalent CO₂ emissions of 100 million cars. That’s the size of the prize — and the urgency of the mission.
The problem
Ocean regeneration is stalled not because we lack the solutions, but because we lack the systems to connect, fund, and measure them.
Thousands of NGOs are doing extraordinary work — restoring seagrass, cleaning coasts, reviving marine biodiversity — but:
They struggle to secure stable funding.
They operate in silos, without a shared platform to collaborate.
Their impact often isn’t recorded in business sustainability language — so it’s invisible to the companies who could fund them.
The consequence of doing nothing? A steadily acidifying ocean and a climate spiral we cannot reverse.
Your Devocean’s answer
Your Devocean exists to connect the unconnected, fund the underfunded, and measure the unmeasured. We’re building the open protocol ESG platform for the ocean — turning
NGO efforts into audit-grade impact that companies can trust, report, and scale.
For companies, we’re a marketplace of high-ROI ocean impact assets, bookable for ESG compliance and Green CapEx.
For NGOs, we’re a free tool that translates their work into quantified, ESG-aligned reports.
For individuals, we’re a way to contribute time and effort with measurable results.
The moment that made it real
On our first dive with Hands2Ocean, a Swedish nonprofit, we pulled 250 kg of car batteries from the seabed in two hours. Each battery was a slow-leaching time bomb of heavy metals — poisoning biodiversity, undermining the ocean’s resilience.
That was just one site, in one part of the Baltic. The problem is vast. But so is the potential to fix it, if we align action, funding, and measurement.
Why this is possible
Responsible companies are already spending money on the ocean — but mostly as CSR. With Your Devocean, those investments can move directly into their books as strategic, ESG-aligned Green CapEx.
This shift unlocks more funding, faster scaling, and a positive spiral:
More funding → more projects
More projects → more measurable impact
More impact → more funding
By 2030, we aim to…
Restore significant ocean areas with measurable biodiversity gains
Engage millions of people in hands-on regeneration
Become the de facto standard for NGO impact reporting
Help companies turn ocean investments into competitive, compliant business value
The ocean gave us life. Now it’s our turn.
