Meet Rhianna Davies-Smith — Purpose & Partnerships Manager

We’re delighted to welcome Rhianna Davies-Smith to the Your Devocean team as our new Purpose & Partnerships Manager. With a background in climate education, NGO leadership, and forging meaningful collaborations, Rhianna brings the kind of empathy, drive, and strategic insight that will help scale our mission: turning ocean-regeneration efforts into transparent, high-integrity impact for businesses.

A new chapter: why Your Devocean?

When Rhianna first encountered Your Devocean’s mission, she saw more than a business opportunity, she saw alignment with the urgent call of the ocean.

Having spent years on the NGO side, Rhianna knows the hurdles ocean-regeneration pioneers face: limited visibility, unreliable data, and few corporate funding channels. At Your Devocean, she sees the chance to help solve those very issues by building strong, meaningful collaborations that deliver measurable impact and support both partners and companies.

What she brings to the table

Rhianna’s work in climate-change education in the UK has been defined by her leadership of a charity that introduced primary-school children to the Arctic Ocean, climate change, and the power of taking action through hands-on workshops and events. Along the way, she collaborated closely with experts across the field from pioneering Arctic explorers to climate leaders and, most importantly, with the next generation, whose voices and curiosity continue to inspire her work.

“Having faced the challenges NGOs experience firsthand, I know what truly works. What Your Devocean offers, real support, funding tracks, and actionable peer knowledge is the solution I didn’t know I needed back in the charity sector. Now, I get to help other NGOs access it and make their impact measurable.”

Reflecting on what Rhianna brings to the next chapter of Your Devocean, our CEO Maj Grove shared:

“Our platform vision is rooted in a regenerative, collaborative philosophy. Living our brand in the world always starts within. And with Rhianna joining the team, we’ve found that synergistic person who complements us with her skills, experience, personality & passion. She brings empathy, business acumen, climate & conservation knowledge and a bucket full of passion for Ocean & climate. Welcome aboard!”

Rooted in nature, driven by purpose

Rhianna’s passion for the natural world runs deep. She holds a degree in Wildlife Conservation from the University of Kent, where her dissertation explored the environmental impacts of industrial hog farming in North Carolina, investigating the intersection between food systems, biodiversity, and community well-being.

She has studied biodiversity conservation in the Bornean rainforest, collaborating on community and species-protection initiatives in one of the world’s most ecologically rich regions. Her international experience extends across Switzerland, England, and the US, and her time protesting with the Extinction Rebellion throughout university solidified her commitment to grassroots climate action.

“From studying ecosystems in Borneo, to standing in the streets demanding climate justice, to guiding children on how they can take climate action — every experience has shaped how I see the world,” she says. “The ocean connects it all: it regulates our climate, supports biodiversity, and sustains the food and water systems that communities depend on. That’s why this work feels both urgent and deeply personal.”

A message to our partners

To the organisations and companies Rhianna will be working with through Your Devocean, she offers this message:

“Let’s build something meaningful together. Whether you’re an NGO restoring ocean ecosystems or a company ready to invest in real ocean impact, I’m here to make that journey smooth, transparent, and empowering. We share a purpose: to protect and restore the ocean that sustains us. Let’s make that collaboration both possible and powerful.”

Welcome aboard, Rhianna. 💙
